Meets every other Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
The committee on purchases shall constitute the central purchasing agency and authority of said City, and all purchases in excess of $100.00 shall be made by said committee on behalf of said City, subject, however, to the prior request of approval of the specific Committee for which each said purchase is being made and subject to the compliance with all statutory requirements relating to each said purchase. Said Committee shall have power to adopt reasonable rules and regulations relative to the procedure to be followed in presenting proposed or requested purchases to it for its consideration and may prescribe or supply a specified form of forms upon which said requested purchases may be submitted to the Committee. Said Committee may designate itself as “The Purchasing Committee.” Purchases under the amount of $100.00 shall be made upon emergency purchase orders.
